I picked up this tank and I am already really liking how it looks.

The current inhabitants are
Lonely citron/brown clown goby
Two fighting conches (Sticking with the theme of 2 per nano :) )
Turbo snail
The two electric blue hermit crabs

My plan for this tank is

Two nassarius snails
Need more ideas for cool inverts, the small nano (this thread) is the ornamental shrimp tank

Yellow banded possum wrasse
Wheeler’s shrimp goby
I have heard a blue stripe pipefish is a good fit for an aquarium like this with Macroalgae and I would be open to moving mine here, let me know if this is a good idea or not

I have hidden the filter in the back behind the rock

I would love to hear all suggestions, recommendations and opinions on whether I could/should keep my pipefish here, which I would really like to.

I have heard pipefish are quite dependent on water chemistry stability, similar to seahorses, so perhaps not a great idea on a tank that size. Not an expert though by any means, so perhaps someone else will correct me. I am a fan of emerald crabs, perhaps you might like one of those on the invert front? Very active and fun to watch.

I have seen and heard of people pulling this off before so I think it would be ok. Sadly I don’t have emerald crabs available to me here.

@i cant think we were talking about multiple pictus blennies and I think it is a great idea, how many could I have with a possum wrasse and blue stripe pipefish?
I was thinking three as they are small fish and all the live rock acts as a lot of biological filtration.

Once again summoning @i cant think the wrasse master, do you think a YBPW or a pink streak wrasse would be best? Both are about an inch and super cool, I would be happy with both but I would chose whichever would be happiest in here.

I have one question, are pictures blennies really herbivorous? Everything I read says they are but mine scoffs down frozen mysis and also loves his algae. I’m headed out today to try and pick up two more.

Quick update, not the best news.

Pictus blenny MIA suspect the worst

A few aptasia popped up and two noticeably large ones so I zapped all four with boiling water and I am pretty sure I have killed them all.

This is a disappointing update and I hope it will get better from here.
