1 year of reefing!

Just thought I’d post my 1 year reefing video of my 25 gallon nano waterbox reef. It’s been an absolute blast so far and I’m glad to say I love this hobby.. although my bank account does not lol.

This tank has served me well as my “trial and error tank”. We have gone through tons of ups and downs and growth and learning.

Shipping soon will be my 200 gallon innovative marine external tank that I cannot wait for. I’m gonna take a swing at making this one an SPS dominant tank but with so much more to learn we will see how successful I am haha.

Anyway, here’s to 1 year of reefing, it’s been amazing, what a great hobby!

Happy Anniversary! You are no longer a rookie! At least the one year mark is, to me, the magic barrier. And you've done what EVERYBODY does, lol and upgrade to a waaaay bigger tank! I love to see this progression. I started with a 29g, then went to 75g, then 90g. Although those tanks are long gone, my next build is gonna be a 155 (the absolute largest I can get in my living room!). Funny how that happens!

Congrats on your one year mark in the hobby and best of luck with the 200 sps tank, the hard part is letting the tank mature enough to start, adding some of the more demanding Sps, there is only one piece of advice. I would like to share with you. I was once told some 32 years ago, from a very experienced reefer at the time that no matter how much time you have in the hobby always remain teachable, I wish this Wiseman was still with us, because I would love to tell him that after 32 years, I am still learning new things almost every day about the hobby, try to absorb everything that you can, because you never know what’s around the corner in this great hobby
