Do an ICP...

How big is the tank?

Parameters are stable but are they at right levels?
Lately I don't know what the right parameters are, But his are good, according to parameters I have carried my tank and what he has carried for a long time. Maybe Mg a little high 1580 but everything else good, Ca 440, Alk 7.9, No3 10, Po4 0.06, Ph 8.0

I don’t see anything wrong with the parameters. No changes in lighting or flow? Any chance of contaminates, scented candles, air fresheners, etc? What type of corals is he loosing? Any invert loss! ICP would be a good idea.

No changes, he has a canopy so it is difficult for anything external to enter the tank, he is even losing zoas, bubbles, torches have the flesh receding, almost everything looks bad, it hurts me because I know the love he has for that tank but with everything that happened he stopped caring about the tank and now it is difficult, I recommended him to remove ¾ of the chaeto and start changing the water weekly even if it is 5 or 10 g, yesterday when we changed the flow they looked a little better after a while but I still don't think the flow is the problem

Ya, increased water changes until ICP results get back.

Ok family, I have a question for you, my dad's tank is not going well, I went there yesterday and fixed the flow a little but he is losing corals even though he has more stable parameters than me and in numbers similar, there are 2 things that I see in his tank, 1- he has too much chaeto and I read that when you have a lot of it it can compete with the corals in the consumption of trace elements, 2- it is related to the 1st if I am correct and it is that he changes from 20 to 30 g every 2 or 3 months, with everything that we have been through in the family recently he has abandoned the tank a little but I would not want him to lose it and I am working on it to see if I can fix it for him. Do you think chaeto could be the problem? The tank has low nutrients but not at 0 and the parameters are quite good and stable, the other thing I think I need to do is to do an ICP
I hate to hear this Luis. What are nitrates and phosphates? And also, what type of corals is he losing?

It’s a staple in the Youngstown area. Every restaurant has it on their menu but I’ve never seen it outside this area. It’s lettuce, grilled chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, onion, mozzarella cheese , black olives, and fresh cut french fries ( I know, I thought the same thing when I first had it but it’s what makes it so good). The also makes a steak version. I was on a thread and a reefer from Texas, who was raised here, was on and bought up how much they missed it and we both agreed on the same restaurant for the best one.
sounds amazing!! ive gotta try it!!!

Good recommendations. If he's not dosimg anything for trace elements, so only water changes increase them then yeah I can assume trace elements are low. Send the ICP in asap. In the meantime, continue to do frequent waterchanges.

This will sound totally stupid Luis but sometimes when a tank starts going down due to lack of love the animals know it and follow suit.
Did you check salinity?
Parameters sound good and I'm assuming they've stayed there for awhile?

What salt?
I'd do a 5 to 10 gallon change every couple of days for a week with a good salt, clean all filter materials and check for weirdness and replace.
Do an icp and you might find a buildup of something uncool that they are not liking.
Yes a large amount of cheato can soak up all kinds of nutrients, good and bad.
