I have a Lineatus wrasse that I just got from LA which is not eating and hiding in acclimation box. I have two sections of PVC zip tied together in acclimation box for him to hide in and that is all he does is hide. He will move from one section of PVC to the other but never when I am in the...
I'm trying to finish the planning on my new tank upgrade. I'd like to have some sand dwelling wrasse as well as a diamond goby to sift sand and keep it clean.
I'm also planning on having a fair amount of water movement generated by powerheads in the tank for my mixed reef so don't want to...
Hello! I've got a male McCosker's Flasher and a Firefish in a 20 long tank. I love them both to death and they have got along perfectly fine for the longest time. Occasionally during feeding the flasher would flash a little and show off, but the Firefish seemed unperturbed... until now. The...
Hey everyone I'm having an issue with my 55 gallon mixed reef. I have/had monti eating nudis so in the past 6ish months I've bought multiple Coris wrasses, yellow and green "over the course of months". EVERY TIME I buy one I acclimate it and add it to the tank, they disappear forever. I have not...

Hello!
I have had 2 clowns, a royal gamma, and a purple firefish for about 4 months. 3 weeks ago I added a flameback angel and yellow coris wrasse.
The tank schedule is that the original fish sleep until about when the lights come on at 12:30 pm (they must be teenagers) - and are up and...
I’m out of town so I’m relaying this through my fiancée. Last night she fed the Lubbock’s, Naoko and Orange Back fairy wrasses and everyone was seemed normal. They’ve been awesome. I was trying to get some chloroquine phosphate because the Lubbock’s was lethargic the first week. The last week...
Hey guys!
Wondering who has had experience keeping a yellow coris wrasse? What is their temperament like and what size tank would you recommend for one? Has anyone seen any aggression from the YCW?
Thanks!!

Hi Guys,
This pretty girl isn't acting right. She's breathing heavily and just sort of hanging out in one area. She's new (1 week) and was NOT qt'd. (No lectures please, she was ordered and came in early while I had the flu. This is the first set of fish not qt'd and won't happen again...

Has anyone had this problem with their wrasse. He was always doing just fine, and still seems fine when he's not knocked out laying 'dead' on the bottom of the tank.
Anyways, for the third time in 3 weeks (2nd time in past 2 days) my Lineatus wrasse freaked out bolted around the tank and...
Well here we go again! Tired of keeping up with multiple tanks to feed the addiction so we have shut down the Reefer 250 and in its place will go a 48”x24”x22” Starphire CDAquarium. Per the title there will be many a wrasse swimming around here soon, At least 10... Additional systems will be...
Honestly, I've been thinking about getting one for a while now, but the lack of information scares me and also piques my interest at the same time. There is very little useful information on how to successfully keep one and even less actual reports of people keeping them long term. I've only...
Has anyone had trouble with their 6 line picking on their RTA? I have had both for about a year with no issues. My anemone just moved about three inches up a rock and now my wrasse keeps picking on the underside if it. Thank for the help.
Hello all,
I lost a tang today and other than my yellow tang, which is very hardy, I'm thinking about moving on from buying another tang. I've been beginning to research wrasses and it appears that fairy wrasses might be the best for a reef tank. I already have a well established leopard...
This is my second "large tank" attempt my first being a standard 180 gallon that did well for a while but ended up crashing due to things caused by myself (overreaction to AEFW) and other unknown issues. Here is the link to that build for anyone interested...
Hey guys!!
quick question.. Will a pink-streaked wrasse eat pests? I've heard of them eating flatworms but what about mites and that sort of thing?
Thanks #reefsquad
I saw a picture of a juvenile Twinspot Wrasse many years ago, and for a while, I was obsessed with getting one. I never understood why they were so hard to find in the trade. After seeing them on the reef, and observing their transformations I can say that it's best to leave these striking...
I was doing my daily maintanance on my tank the other day and turned off all pumps. As i looked at my tank top down..(which i haven't done in a long time) i was pretty blown away by how good it looked and wanted to share with everyone. Here's the picture i took with my Canon T6i
Hi everyone.
My wrasse has lacked vigor in his swimming effort since I received him about a week ago. She’s a golden rhomboid fairy wrasse. She seems to have full motion in her dorsal fin, but I have yet to see any definitive motion in the causal fin.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!
