Over the course of the last couple of days, my spiny box puffer seems to have a worm over his eye. Would a freshwater dip help rid him of it? Any other suggestions as to what to do? The tank is a 220 predator FOWLR. There haven’t been any new additions to the tank for about a month. Water...
Any idea what this thing is? Found this one on the live rock - have also found a couple on the edges of the glass. Its a long white worm that kind of coils itself like this. Originally thought it was the zooanxthellae released by my hammers but after seeing this one changing that assumption...
My tank is fallow right now and with no fish around, I decide to focus more on the tiny things around the tank. I am seeing 3 creatures that I am not sure what they are.
Whatever they are they are all over my tank, one grain of sand can have around 6 (yellow line) every spot you see in the sand...
Hello everybody, I just purchased a zoa and upon cleaning it prior to introducing it to my tank I found this critter. Does anyone know what this is? I have more photos and a short video if needed. I am keeping it in a separate container for now. It looks menacing and certainly not shy, makes me...
I was just cleaning out my filter sock and I found around 4 of these things I don't know what they are, where they are in my tank or how they got in there? But looking at their spikes I might come to an assumption they killed 2 of my fish a lawnmower blenny and a cleaner wrasse. Both of the fish...
I have these strange thin red/pink worms on my glass and they just have appeared from nowhere. I do not have live rock and all of my corals have been dipped. Please help me figure out if these are good or bad. Here’s an image -
Saw this while feeding my invert heavy tank. It is most definitely NOT a bristle worm… I have several of those in my tank and know them fairly well. This guy has a face that reminds me of a coolie loach… i think it’s been in my tank for at least 8 months. It seems to be more of a rock dweller...
Hello, I just want to know if I should be worried about this guy and if 'you see one there all lots' kind of mentality. I looked quite a bit and did not come up with anything. Please let me know!
Hi all,
This was sold to me as a “mini” black cucumber; the mouth seems strange though. Anyone know what this is, and if it’s reef safe? Main goal is to turn over my sand.
Almost looks like more like a worm than a cucumber.
I’m holding releasing it before I’ve got a firm ID.
Thanks,
Adam
Found 2 of these in my tank. Caught one. Haven't ever seen anything like it before or find anything online since finding it in my tank. Moves like a snake or eel. Redish color with white spots. Anyone have a clue what it could be? Please help. Thanks in advance
Hi,
Any ideas what this is? Edit: I'm pretty sure this is a red flatworm but would still be good to get confirmation from those who have seen these before.
This image is the largest one but there are plenty others on my glass.
Thanks for your help!
(My tank has Trochus, Tectus, Cerith snails...
So my wife had me clean and move a bookshelf on the side of the tank today and I've been enjoying a view of the tank I haven't had and noticed the sand bed was pushed up on the glass.
Low and behold I see worms in the sand I don't recognize. I'm terrified for the worst ID possible, but I can't...
found these guys last night. Looking for ID on anything included. More just curious what types of pods, but want to confirm that the worm is what I believe to be a dorvilledae. Do these sting like bristleworms?
Help! I just was creeped out of my mind when I went in to check on my new mates and saw all this creepy crawlers. Please tell me these are not fire worms and just bristle.. and should I get this under control?
Not really familiar with this worm? Not sure what it is but I have several of them in my sump and was wondering if I should remove them or just let them be.
I just discovered about 7 of these little whispy white worms on the glass of my QT tank. Sorry I couldn't get a better pic, my camera refused to focus on them up close. They have 2 antennae and are about 1/4 inch long. Any idea what they are and are they something I need to treat for?
I just woke up to my fish tank and this is sitting in the front. Does anyone know what this is? What should I do? How do I get rid of it? Is it bad? Also don’t mind the algae I’m working on getting rid of it
Just wanted to verify if these were fireworms. Found a bunch underneath a clove rock I took out to clean. Any worry with corals or to look out for with more of them?
