Hey everyone, im looking for some advice on treating algae growing ON my sps colonies. How can I treat it, how dangerous is it? How can I avoid it in the future.
I've got three colonies it's really affecting. Two that had some kind of nuisance growth when I got them, one that didn't...
This tank was filled up in August of 2017. It's had it's trials but I believe I've figured out a good maintenance regiment to keep it stable and thriving.

My tanks recovering from a bad time. I lost a lot of SPS to receding skin. My colony of red planet is 90% dead. Now that I’ve corrected the issue, the receding has stopped leaving 10% alive.
I had something similar to this happen before and the red planet quickly recovered and grew of the dead...
Hey everyone! So I just added in a Indo bonsai today. (First sps!) I think he is doing well but as I have not much background info on how these should look at the frag stage, want to get your options.
Also input on if the location is adequate would be appreciated
Thank you!

Hey,
So I have to move to Fort Lauderdale due to may job and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to move a 60 gallon sps tank? The drive is approximately 12 hours, I'm also a little concerned with the low temperature in NC at the moment.

Hi everyone,
Im curious to experiences you all have had good or bad with purchasing corals online and receiving pieces that match the color and size as advertised. Specifically higher end sps’s that honestly do look saturated on my computer screen.
I know the photos are often taken under heavy...
Softies and everything else seem to be OK, but hard corals (SPS, monti) just brown out within 2 weeks of putting them in. My nitrates were high (60) for awhile but I've brought them under control (10). Lights are mostly blue at this point, no white, red or green (AI HD26). Any ideas? It's been...
If you're thinking of starting out with Acro's my suggestion is a Green Slimer Acropora SPS coral like this one. The Green Slimer Acropora is not as delicate to keep as other Acro's and will tolerate certain differences in water parameter differences.
Thanks for checking out my recent and...
Hello all,
Long time R2R lurker here. Been keeping aquariums my whole life and reef tanks since about 2005. Six years ago I shut down a 120 and I've been missing it ever since. The bug has got me and now I'm planning a new 210 gallon tank.

Hi guys this is a little project I’ve been working on for a few months and now looking for your views on this subject.
It all started with me getting a few non photosynthetic corals (gorgonians) and got me thinking in a way we’re I could give them a constant supply of food.
The project started...
