I bought my first ever coral about 4 months ago, a small 2 head Torch and a fungia plate coral, I dipped them both and got a small flatworm off the torch luckily. A few days into owning the torch and watching it get used to the water and extend, I noticed a little section of bristly exoskeleton...
I got some nassarius snails from a seller ive bought nassariusses from but they were much darker in color hoping its a different species. They are much more active in the tank than my all white ones. They do move quickly on the sand but i have never seen a whelk so im not sure how fast they are...
So about 3 weeks ago I added a very large single snail to my tank. I believed it was a Trochus snail. But it was sold as an omen snail according to my LFS.
When I first got him he has been fine but has just been on the glass and not touched my rocks or substrate. It is very large around a £5...
Hypothetically if you were Australian and you were struggling for months to find a distributor in your country to purchase a specific Nudibranch you have researched in depth, and it is illegal to import pretty much all marine animals in Australia without a license. And you didn't want a license...

My all time favorite is always Conch, Conch, and Conch. Such a fun, interesting little creature.
Those long eyes that react to your action.
A powerful leg that moves fast.
A cute elephant nose that goes didadidadoo.
A heavy body that can't climb glass.
A long lived peaceful creature...
Stationary tentacle or worm, nocturnal, rapidly shrinks in bright light to what basically just looks like a pebble of sand stuck in a some snail slime.
Edit: not sure the video is going to work so here are stills
Hey everyone. I’m looking to get an id on what I think is a snail? I just want to make sure I don’t need to pull it out! Thank you.
I do have a video as well but can’t upload from my phone for some reason. But it moves just like a snail.
Hey everyone, so I’ve just started my reef tank up, it’s a 75L, 20 Gallon AIO reef sea max nano! I’m super proud of it, but I’ve got a couple questions regarding the addition of a CUC/livestock.
im planning on getting 2 clowns and a nem down the track, and eventually adding some SPS corals. I’m...
My clownfish eggs hatched some time today, and after lights out, I went looking for them. No clownfish fry to be seen, but I spotted this guy...a few of them actually. Any ideas?
Hi,
I have a Fluval evo 13.5 gallon and am thinking of getting a strawberry conch once my aquarium is established, is the Fluval evo an ok sized tank for them?
Hello All!
Any ideas of the species of this snail?
Slightly conical, reddish and white. Quite small at the moment, but I am noticing more by the day.
Are they invasive? Good or bad?
Thank you all,
Your help is so much of value!
Hi guys! I’m new to reefing and I’ve recently set up a 29 gallon tank that’s finished cycling. Right now I have one Nassarius snail, one trochus snail, two margarita snails, and one cerith snail. I was told that I can have up to ten snails in my tank so I’m pretty sure that stocking is fine...
If you could have one snail species in your aquarium, what would it be?
Okok, well, perhaps you can include honourable mentions in order of utilitarian role.
Really though, I’m interested in your desert island one and only choice. One snail to rule over your aquarium reef.
So I noticed a new slug/snail in my tank that I most certainly have never seen. I haven't bought any new coral or rock in the past few months so I was surprised to see this. It almost looked like it could be a baby forming it's shell but I've never seen a baby snail so I have no clue. Any help...
There's this tiny snail i just noticed, from the underside it looks almost like a baby trochus, but from the side id looks different.
P.s. sorry the side shot is so blurry, its all i could manage.
