Hey everyone. I’m building a stand for a tank I got a while back and I’ve been trying to see how to get a similar quality feel to something such as the Red Sea Reefer Stand. So far, I’ve found out that the doors are epoxy coated, but doing that in a home setting would take a lot of materials and...

So I'm brand new to dosing and having a really hard time wrapping my brain around amounts and figuring out how much to dose in my tank. I'm using Red Sea Coral Foundation and on the back it tells me current levels and how much to dose to get to optimal levels, but I'm not sure if these values...

Thinking about setting a tank back up after we sold our 450 because we moved. Thinking about doing a XL 300, would love to do larger like the 3XL 900!, but costs and placement so starting a bit smaller and if we can keep it going we may upgrade later. Here is the specs I'm thinking, any comments...
Why are tanks above 30 gallons considered “nano”. I feel like that needs to be changed because calling 30, 35, or 40 gallon tanks nano Just seems very not right. They are not nano at all in my opinion, the cost of setting them up is especially not nano. What do you think?
Hello R2R,
I am new to the forum but have a great question for you open tank guys. How do you prevent your fully open top tank from splashing in the case of an earthquake or tremor. All the reef lids I’ve seen online are netted. I understand the importance of having proper gas exchange happen...

Hi guys,
Just wanted to check in with you guys on using a Red Sea Reefer 170 cabinet to place next to my Reefer 625 XXL? I was looking at options to have another cabinet for storage and equipment as am thinking that the finish and height of a Reefer 170 cabinet should be a great match. Anything...

Hello,
Wondering if anyone has chosen to add a cabinet sump to their Red Sea Max 170. What plumbing did you use and where did you get it? Which sump did you decide on? I have no urgency to do this, but haven't found much online about it when i've been curious. Wondering if its worth it if i'm...

I don't know how many beers the Red Sea design team polished off the day they came up with the 'DIY Net Cover' but wow, just wow! I can imagine the stunned silence as someone had to put one together during the pitch to management - If ever there was a 'that'll do, quick to market' product! Spent...
