Hi R2R,
I have slowly been accumulating supplies for my first reef build (stay tuned for a build thread) for a Waterbox 100.3. I’m Just about ready to get this thing filled. To that end, I’m Looking for some live rock/rubble to get things started off on the right foot. I have a rock scape...
I have close to a couple hundred pounds of dry rock, half being Marco rock from BRS, another half being old fiji and pukani rock that’s been dry for years. I’m going to be aquascaping my 310g build in a couple weeks and want to give a quick rinse to the dry rock before going in the tank to...
Hey I had a couple of these show up in my quarantine frag tank after adding some Australian Live rock from unique corals. I wanted to double check that they were safe before any of that rock goes in my display. They don’t seem to have bothered any corals, but I’m still relatively new to all...

This rock has been in a brute with a powerhead for about a year now.
The Marco did have Vermetids at one point but...
Is this too much live rock for my 75 gal? I like the aqua scape but I have 2 tangs and 3 anthias which require swimming space and I’m just wondering if the rock is taking up too much of that space.
Long story short my tank crashed, I found my nero pump controller sitting in my sump (photos below). I immediately did an icp test find results below. I’ve been doing several waterchanges and running carbon between the crash to now. As per my icp test is it safe to assume the metal in the tank...
Noticed this guy after turning lights on. It free swims but also grabs onto rocks - seems too big/fast for pods? - second half of video has much clearer image

EDIT: Answer seems to be that it is a bad isopod.
I am planning to be cycling a new tank, since mine right now was done wrong and is unsavable. I want to cycle with live rock (not dry rock) and have some questions. Would I be able to cycle it with a live rock with coralline algae? And if so would it be better to order online (since my lfs...

Algae is starting to grow all over this tank, and I am looking for methods to keep it in check.
The issue with remedy...
Hey There!
A good friend gave me this saltwater aquarium/tank & setup when he was deployed last year. I wish I had time to learn more about saltwater tank requirements because they're beautiful when maintained properly. Since I'm unable to maintain it myself I'd like to sell everything but I...

Shark sightings make our day! Seeing a hammer head shark en route to the lease site means it is going to be a good day harvesting live rock.
With local news reporting heavy shark activity in our back yard and in honor of the vintage Tampa Bay Saltwater shark logo; we decided to celebrate this...
