#1 WHAT IF I TOLD YOU... Ammonia is causing your algae problems?

After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you keep believing that nitrate and phosphate are the cause of your algae problems. You take the red pill - I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. This image was created by @Fish_Sticks, ©2019, All Rights...

    Fluconazole to Treat GHA

I have GHA beginning to overrun my tank. It is not as bad as other infestations I have seen, and I want to get ahead of it. I have tried manually removing it, but that doesn’t really work. You can’t get it all off and it just grows back. After reading about success using Fluconazole, I thought I...

GHA problem... No phosphate or Nitrate???

Good morning all... I've been dealing with a GHA problem for a few months. My tank is an IM40. I run a single AI Prime HD (which probably isn't enough?) for 10 hours a day, but 2 hour of ramp up each way so only full strength for 6 hours. I have a filter sock in one overflow and a sponge...

    Green hair algae in refugium

I have recently restarted my tank using a large refugium and a Kessil H380. I am getting lots of green hair algae in the refugium but not in the tank. The refugium seems to be doing what it should. However, what is the feeling on removing GHA from the refugium? Just let it be or remove?

This is probably the worst case of gha any of you have seen and I am so ashamed of it.... When my tank was cycling, I let the algae stay because I thought the movement was pretty and liked having some color, but five months later, I definitely do not feel the same. Does anyone have tips for...

Film/green hair algae and maybe bacteria (pics included)

I've had this modified bio cube 29 running for about a year now and have gone through various algae battles. For the last few months however I've had this very slow, slimy, green and brown growth on my rocks. It's getting so bad that it's clogging up the filter floss on my overflow in a few...
