Transferred from a 40g to a 100g. Have had the elegance just over 1.5 years. Initially was PO'ed going into the new tank then seemed to settle out.
Now over the last 2-3 weeks I'm seeing some tissue recession.
1 week ago did a Revive, Iodine, and a Chemiclean dip. Appeared to be healthy...
Any thoughts on my elegance??
Transferring from my 40g to 100g, it's been in the 100g for a week and looking good until today. Was in the 40g for about 18 months.
Noticed it pooping a lot, now thinking it was expelling Zooxanthellae.
Lighting is the same, but mounted higher from the water and...
What’s up w my elegance? I’ve had it about 2.5-3 months has never done this? All parameters are in check, I did a water change this morning, hours later it did this, could it be the water change? Is it ok?
Went on a trip for a week and came back to elegance coral not looking happy. For the last week it has been puffing up and hasn’t extended its tentacles or fully opened up (not like it has in the past 2 months I’ve had it). Phosphates are a bit high from mother in law over feeding a bit. All...
Good Morning Reefers,
I’ve had my elegance coral for about 1-1/2 years. Ever since getting my 3 leopard wrasses my elegance keeps lifting out of the sand and I have to push back into the sand and move it.
It has been almost an every other day routine. NOT SO FUN!
Long story short, has anyone...

Just wanted to share some pics of the nano today. Still got some work to do, but at 4 months old & my first saltwater tank, I am very proud! All the fish are happy/healthy & 95% of the corals are thriving.
Fighting the last bits of cyano after consistently overdosing Red Sea AB+ for about 2...

Hello!
I've got an elegance in December, it was looking very good and has been doing good so far in the tank.
However, last weeks I started to notice, it is starting to detach from the skeleton base, at the sides. You can see the skeleton in the sides and looks like every day is a bit more...
Well... I woke up this morning and started getting ready to feed my tank. as usual my shrimp and brittle star we’re already looking for food. Normally my star will slide along the bottom and my elegance and other torches don’t react. This time my elegance decided to obliterate my star. The...

A few hours ago I had picked up a nice looking elegance from a LFS. The coral had been there for almost a month and looked beautiful. I took it home, drip acclimated, dipped and put the piece in my 125 gallon reef.
About an hour ago from now I had spotted some claws coming from the elegance's...
