Selling the large Tonga branch rockscape I build for my new tank, I had a ton of rock and built 2 structures and used the other one in the end.
The rock is Tropic Eden Tonga Branch (15.99/lb at Premium Aquatics) and is prob the nicest synthetic rock out there right now! Very strong construction...
I purchased 18lbs of the new Tropic Eden Morroca Rock (Pukani Clone) from Premium Aquatics - and in a few short words, it is easily the best dry rock available in the industry right now! The pieces I got are HUGE - considered 'small' on the Premium Aquatics website! The detail and structure is...
So I was looking at the carib sea moani "dry live rock" stuff for my tank and I kind of like it. My only concern would be that "dry live rock" like pukani etc. from what I've heard can leech a lot of organics, nitrogen and phosphorus into the tank. I was just wondering if anyone has used this...
Looking to buy some totoka rock. It’s very spiky. Idc if it’s live or dry. I’m also interested in any really big pieces of any kind of rock whether it’s branch or shelf or Pukani etc etc. I’m adding a photo of the totoka so you can see what it looks like. I can pay with PayPal g&s. I’ll pay...
Will be setting up a new tank, upgrading and learning from prior mistakes that I made with current tank(6 years running). It will be dry rock and bare bottom. Starting sterile and keeping up with a good quarantine regime to avoid pests issues, bare bottom for flow for SPS, and for cutting down...
Selling my leftover (from a new build) Tropic Eden Supreme Tonga Branch Rock. This is easily the nicest synthetic branch rock I've seen since the real thing! Cuts and drills easily, has been easy to work with. Lightweight and strong, this is my new rock of choice!
Includes the pieces shown in...

I have been reading for months at this point. Now that I am in the home stretch awaiting tank delivery, I cannot really procrastinate any longer and am thus starting my build thread. I had a 30 gallon LPS tank about 15 years ago at this point, and it would be fair to say I did a mediocre job at...
As per title -- considering it's dry artificial rock -- would 80 lbs of Aquaforest AF rock be enough for 98G 5ft shallow tank?
I assume in terms of weight it's gonna be similar to Marcorocks (or lighter according to some people).
Should I get more? Or is that enough?
Hi guys

I found this black stuff on a new piece of CaribSea South Sea Base Rock (it came out of the box a few days ago and has never entered my aquarium). It does not scrub off and appears to be encrusted on the rock. Should I worry about it?
I started my cycle about 2-4 weeks ago my ammonia levels at sitting at 0 but my nitrite levels are 5ppm and have been for the passed couple days. Should i do a water change should i leave it am I ready to add fish, should i just leave it ? I used dry rock and added turbo start 900 on day 2
Would like to set up my first tank soon and I'm looking to buy some dry rock. I'd like to see if anyone had some left over before going to the LFS or ordering online. I'm in South Jersey and Philadelphia area.
Hi, I have some freshly made Portland cement mix rocks made up and I want to know if it is safe to add them to my reef tank? They've never been used in a tank before so I'm not worried about hitch hikers, and I already have lots of live rock in my tank so I'm not worried about treating them with...
1) Problem: (Growing Despair)
75 gallon, bare bottom, dry rock fishless cycle using Microbacter7 (per instructions) using new API tests.
Now at 7 weeks I still have a consistent 2ppm ammonia (initially from raw shrimp, and now Dr. Tim's ammonia)
but the ammonia level never drops, and I've...
I would like to start a poll and see what R2R likes and uses.
I would like to add some media to my new tank R 650P man made rock with NSA scape and sand but fell like i could use some bio media in the sump.

Hi,
I am setting up my first nano reef tank which is 63 litres.
I have put some rocks in it as you can see in the picture but I am unsure whether I should add more rock to support the eco system better also to enable me to place corals in the right place in the future.
I have read that you...
