I have a 5.5 gallon acrylic bow front that came with a plastic lid with a built in light. The light is just way too bright for any fish to be in there comfortably so rather than trying to find a different lid, I would like to cut a window into the top of the lid and install a piece of clear...

This thread is for my new 'big' tank, a custom 68g build I commissioned through John at Advanced Acrylics. It is roughly 60% larger in its dimensions than my other custom acrylic Zoa Garden tank. Tank is 30x26x20 and it holds approx 68g at water level.

Hello All,
I've always wanted to make a thread to track the journey of a new build but never had anything cool enough to show off until now!!!! I would like to introduce you to the 100% custom drop off.
The tank was finally delivered the beginning of Dec. after a few months of waiting and...
So, maybe this is obvious, though I have a built a few stands in my day and seen a good bit of them over the years. That said they all look rather similar.
I was building a stand for my 240g and wanted to try something a little different, and came up with the below. I thought it was a good idea...
Hey everyone,
I have been having some fun with my laser engraver and made this set of slate stone coasters. I’m asking $25 for the set shipped. Let me know if you have any questions, if multiple people are interested I can make more but just wanted to feel things out before making a bunch of...
So I purchased the stealth box kit with h2overflow on January 19, what a big mistake that was I have had nothing but a terrible experience from these people, after emailing them the next day to add something onto my order they took over 14 days to get it delivered to me when they quoted me 6-10...
I’m looking for advise on a stand for my 200 gallon (60 x 30) peninsula tank build. I’m looking for a decorative open stand. All plumbing, sump, reactors, etc will be located through the wall in the garage. Only the tank will sitting on the stand, nothing planned for underneath.
My wife...

Below is the story of how this build evolved into my dream tank and became the ultimate BioCube build.
I’ve always been attracted to nano’s. Historically, I have moved every 2-5 years so the thought of moving a large setup discouraged me from ever going big.
I purchased the BioCube 29 gallon...
Greetings all,
So this is my first foray into the hobby of saltwater aquariums so over the last few months I have spent considerable time research, convincing, and getting the equipment I really wanted. So this is the progress of my build to date, I am hoping to have water in it by this week...
I am a big time aquascaper and have spent about 2 weeks sculpting the rockwork for my new cube. It is composed of reefsaver that I chiseled and dremeled into shelves, then cemented together to give it a stepped branching/tabling look. This piece is a monster - about 17hx22l and 60lbs...
So my issue is i am running MH’s i want to add some more blue and pop, the second part of my issue is i want to run 3 light bars or 1 larger light bar on each side (48” in length).
The only issue i have is it seems every manufacturer requires a inverter per light bar, is their a way to...
Trying to find aluminium extrusion for a custom light fixture. Using 20mm star led boards have 13 3W leds spaced over 800mm±100mm. Anybody got any ideas or sources? Ideally in the UK to keep costs down. Cheers
Hey Guys,
So maybe you can tell from the title but I am building a complete system from scratch (Tank, Stand, Sump, and plumbing).
I will post my progress on this thread so stay tuned. Here are some pics from the stand.
Hello, This is a brand new item designed and fabricated to be 100% custom.

Hi all,
I have an Innovative Marine SR-60 and really love it. It’s my display tank. I have the stock lid and it worked for a while. The issue is the stock lid leaves a decent gab around the rim. I lost two gobies because they jumped out! Squeezed right through the gap. A yasha and a Dracula...
Introduction
It has long been a dream of mine to build a larger tank (like no doubt many of us) since I started keeping marine fish a century ago (approximately). After putting it off for far too long, I have finally decided to go all in on a new dream build! As with many things I set my mind...
So I've bit the bullet and am going to be buying a custom made ultraclear rimless 4x2x1.5. Tank builders have lots of access to equipment so I can have notches cut out, holes etc.
Currently the plan is to have a large external overflow on the back of the tank, with a large notch cut out of the...
Think I’m about ready to pull the trigger on putting my deposit down for my big tank upgrade and I’ve gone back and forth with a couple of configurations whether it be height, width, overflow style, stand considerations, etc. I think I’ve landed on a 48x24x18 (90G) from Reef Savvy.
What do you...
