Hi all, my first post here so bear with me. relatively recently have had a 37 gallon going for about 2 months. I started with some great live rock but discovered what I think is a bristle worm. wondering if i should let him stay or remove immediately. He comes out during feeding time between...
I think I have a bristle worm in my live rocks, but I don’t know if it’s a fire worm or if I should leave it in the tank. I also have what looks like a peanut worm, and the fish at the end of that video can someone help identify it? I think it is a juvenile zebra blenny. Rocks came from Hawaii.
I’ve seen some normal looking bristle worms in my aquarium but nothing like this almost hot pink looking one. Fireworm perhaps? How should I go about removal or is that even necessary? And sorry about pic quality i hope that doesn’t affect the ability to identify it.
So I bought a used biocube 32. I haven’t got any livestock or coral yet but I plan on a seahorse tank so anything that stings is a no no. As soon as I set it up I started seeing small bristleworms, too many to kill by hand. Now I’ve seen a really big one, and I’m wondering if there are any...
Hello everyone. A few days ago I was feeding my candy cane coral (a very small head) when a worm came out the rock and snatched a piece of food. I didn’t get a good look at the worm and it pulled the food back into a hole very, very fast. On previous days I have seen a small clear worm, very...
I have a 16 gallon bio cube with no fish or coral right now. It’s been running for about 8 months. I’ve noticed tons of what look to be bristle worms and lots of other little bugs running around the sand bed. Want to be sure what they are so I can remove them. Couldn’t get great pictures though.
I was doing a water change this morning on my tank and afterwards I saw this huge thing come out of the rock that have never seen before. And it didn't look like a bristle worm that I've seen on the internet before. This thing is pretty huge though. Thank you in advance for any input! :-)
Big worm- little fish
Long story short I finally caught a bristleworm that was living in my pico reef. Its BIG about 2-3 inches maybe and fat. I have a frag tank with a six line in it, still pretty small. I know people use wrasse as a pest control for these guys. But I'm wondering if a six line...
I'm setting up a sexy shrimp and rock flower tank. A waterbox 4g. I've had it running a couple months with only a few rock flower nems. Recently bought gsp from a local reefer, and noticed a rather large (2+inches) bristle worm try to steal food from a nem during the last feeding. I presume he...
Hi, I am new to the hobby and have just begun cyclying my first reef tank. I have placed 5kg of live rock in my 24L (6g) tank and with 3-4 days it began to small bad. Since then i have done a 40% waterchange, and it only seems to be getting worse, there has been a plethora of worms (majority...
So I previously had a problem with two bristle worms/fireworm (never figured it out 100%). Ended up catching one and never finding the other (may have died). Now I went down to check on my tank and saw these two little white lines thrashing around at the top of my tank, I turn on my white...
i got a small maxima clam for my 33g last Thursday and it seems perfectly healthy however in the mornings and at night I’ve seen a total of 4 on it and 1 several weeks before I had it, I’ve killed all the ones I’ve seen on the clam but couldn’t find the bigger one again, does anyone know if they...
So I recently added a Maximus clam to my 30g reef tank and it is adapting great but every night and sometimes in the mornings it will have a bristle worm or two on the shell, I've been removing them with tweezers but I know that this is not sustainable. I always wanted to get a clam so removing...
Couple of questions please...woke up to find 3 of these bristle ? worms cruising around my unlit tank. I'd just like to say I MAY NEVER STICK MY HAND IN MY TANK AGAIN.
2 of the worms looked like greyish-tannish nondescript bristle worms but this one looked different...is it a fire worm...
I was doing my week water change today and while i was stirring my sand bed around i happened to catch a glimpse of what i thought was a worm or maybe a piece of fish poop. I happened to catch it in a container before it was buried again in sand, and it was a worm. I don't know what kind, though...
I was watching my fowlr tank today and I happened to notice this little guy trying to burrow underneath one of my rocks. I pulled the top and then is just squeeze him into a cup without him touching my fingers. Is it a bristle worm? And if so how do I get rid of them? Are they bad? Thanks everyone.!
Hello guys, I'm afraid I might have bristle worms on my tank. I'm still cycling my first tank and its has no fish yet. I've add 15 pounds of live rock and live sand a month ago. And I've seen a few pests such as majano anemoes that I've tried to remove. But today I saw something that looked like...
Unsure if these are French in origin endulging on some escargot , but I as one who loves their CUC does not appreciate it. His friends are just standing idly by as though they're waiting their turn. :(
