I've got a Current USA Marine Orbit Pro LED light that I've seen a lot of differing opinions on what to set the min/max light intensities at.
Currently, my lights are set as follows:
White lights: min - 0% / max - 60%
Blue lights: min - 15% ./ max 90%
I've got a few zoas that seem to love...
Hello All!
My name is Jason, I'm an hour south of Detroit and I have been in and out of the hobby since high school. I recently ran a pretty successful 29-gallon Biocube until one day cleaning it I took the JBJ True Temp heater control probe out, got busy with my 4-year-old, never put it back...
I picked up this Biocube 32 last month as a slight upgrade over my previous 20 long. Life got in the way and the 20 long fell to the wayside. It was turned over to a FOWLR tank and someone else took care of the tank after I moved into my first house. Between the new job and being a first time...
So I have a 29 gallon biocube with AI Prime HD for lights, an Aqamai KPS power head 370-1050 gph.
I always come back to this question so my husband bought me this power head cause it has an app and I can change up the flow...
But....I have it set very low right now because my corals do not seem...
I have a 32 biocube. I set it up about a week and half ago, got all the items I needed from my local fish store. The biocube is stock. I have 19 pounds of live rock and 20 pounds of live sand, with a bag of carbon and bioballs in the filter, in the first chamber there is a “accu-therm heater...
Hello, my Oceanic biocube 29 finally bit the bullet a few days ago. I am now in the market either for a new hood (lights) or a whole new system. I don't have much knowledge in what would be a good tank or not. Evidently the one I currently own is not so great with filtering.I am wanting to go as...
Looking through at the Biocubes you all have makes me feel like mine is inadequate haha, but something to strive for I guess.
I changed out bioballs in the sump for new ones (I know there are better options, but thought with a few other mods it would be ok). I removed the cartridge filters and...
I am not sure if i have a problem yet or not but I was watching my emerald crab really go to town on my birds nest last night. I watched him pinch at the coral a lot then move one, and later he came back! I used a plastic arm to push him away the second time. I am sure he came back later in the...
Hello, I've had a 75 Gallon with 40G sump for the last 6 months. I have sold my house and now need to downgrade tanks, and sell/trade for credit any fish that I can't keep in the new tank.
I bought a CoraLife Biocube 32Gallon with LED hood etc...
The most current picture of my system. Been up and running for a year in August. Which is only a few days away.

#1 - David finally hooked me. This is the beginning of a long journey of the first system put together by a close friend, Chris Boehm. He moved on to other display systems and ended up passing it on to me.
It's over 5 years old, but has been revamped many times.
I'm not sure if the hardscape...
After not being able to sell my nanocube with a broken hood I decided to remove the trim and make it a bedroom tank. I already have a hydra 26 HD to put over it. Just waiting on a replacement light for the hydra as it's running over my 210. I'm planning on a large maroon clown from a friends...
Hey Reefers!
I decided on the AI Prime HD for my new light on my Biocube 29. Right now it is LPS/Softie Mixed tank. I am wanting to try an SPS frag once I get the Prime.
What settings with a similar setup are you guys running? Just want an idea so I am good to go once it gets here this week.

I am new to the hobby and decided to start small with the Coralife Biocube 32. I did jump into the hobby without really doing the research i normally do on a large purchase, but i sure have enjoyed the experience so far. I have made a few upgrades to the tank like a UV-filter and protein...
Our poor, sad biocube has struggled it's whole life of 2 years. It has gone through every thing, including a crash, but has never looked good. It currently is a hair algae haven. I feel like we have slightly given up on it; it looks the worst it ever has. We are really good with larger tanks...
I started my first coral tank just over a month ago (Feb 19th).
I completely gutted a 14G Biocube that I had collecting dust in my storage shed that was previously used for dwarf seahorses (and that sadly was an epic fail). I removed all the back area which housed the filtration system. Removed...
Without switching to a full hood gut lighting system ( nano-box/steve's ) does anyone know of a good way or if it's even possible to supplement the in-hood Biocube 32 lighting this way ?
The lights are okay for what's in the tank now and they're doing well, but if I can easily add some sort of...
Hey guys.
My tank is turning a year old this week. My maintenance routine is 15% weekly water changes with sand "vacuuming" and glass cleaning. I run an Eshopps nano skimmer for additional filtration and just recently began running Chemipure Blue and GFO to help with water quality.
I'm running...
Hey guys, I'm an animal vlogger on youtube and my favorite thing to own are reef tanks. Currently I'm about to start a 150 gallon tank build series and to kick it off I'm giving away a free brand new 29 gallon biocube with the stand and $250 worth of corals (low-medium light ones since the...
Hi all! I have been a freshwater hobbyist for a while and I have recently gotten in to the marine and reef side. I was a LFS lurker for a long time and I did a lot of research before I ventured down this path.
I have a small reef tank (Bioucube 14). I have modified the second chamber and built...
Hello everyone, I am pretty much brand new to the hobby. Here is my thread from when I first got my tank started up. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/new-to-the-hobby.273155/
So, here's my story... My dad was diagnosed with cancer about 2 years ago. We got this 29 gallon Biocube for him for...
