Hi everyone,
I'm going to be building my first aquascape for my Reefer 625 and I know I like the purple rock look already, but not sure which rocks to use. Is there a preference of Real Reef Rock vs. CaribSea's Life Rock and why?
Thanks!
Hi Planning on doing some NSA aqua scaping for a new build I usually gorilla but as I need a lot I found some superglue locally that is cheap and comes in large pots. Tested it on a couple of pieces of test rock and seems really good but noticed it has dihydroxybenzene as an ingredient as well...
This is going to be crazy and I probably will get a lot of people tell me im crazy, but I feel like it would be good to share this process, just in case someone goes thru the same thing, and I will try to update it as much as I can.
So I been very picky about my aquascape, Tank has been set up...

After 13 years of missing the hobby, I'm back with a plan to geek out with a large peninsula mixed reef tank.
I live in Michigan and have different hobbies like electronics, software, radio control, 3D design, and printing, woodworking, etc. It is a long and ever changing list. I...
Setting up aquascape in Waterbox 20 nano cube. Put in 20 lb bag of Caribsea sand and purchased a 20 lb box of Caribsea Life Rock shapes.
The rock work does not touch and of the walls.
Unfortunately, the base rock I got was huge and takes up a lot of space.
I'm thinking that the current set-up...
I wanted some opinions on what I should do with my aquas cape in terms of coral. I want the top half to be spa and the lower half to be lps. The idea is to have the middle portion be a small ZOA garden. However I am still trying to figure out what side I should put all of my euphyllia. Do you...

When I started my second build a few years ago, It made me pretty sad. I couldn’t tell why I thought it was ugly but it just was. With my previous tank, I had this l“aha!” moment one day where I pictured the direction I wanted to go and how I wanted corals to grow in eventually. But with the new...
I have about 40lbs of live rock. (I didn’t weigh it but it’s definitely about 40lbs maybe more!)
The rock is from a tank tear down that’s been cycling in a brute container with a powerhead and heater in my garage for almost 5 months. I ghost feed a small amount of pellets every other day. Some...
Hey it's me again,
After posting my last aquascape here for my first tank attempt and taking in all of your wonderful advice and my own thoughts, I decided I really hated the rocks I had in my tank, so I switched them out and made this. Any opinions and advice appreciated, just some forewords...
Wanted to share the new aquascape! Next up will be filling and cycling this babe. For reference its a 40 breeder with the Real Reef Tonga Branch (BLACKOUT) Rock. I got the 30lb box which was more than enough, but now i have some leftovers for smaller future tank. Back of the tank is painted...
I’ve been in the feeding hobby since I was 16. While most kids begged for a puppy I somehow convinced my parents to buy a 75 gallon saltwater tank instead. You might say that tank was a failure, but I fell in love with the hobby during those two years of heartache and frustration.
2 years ago I...

I am starting a new 25G peninsula reef tank from Waterbox.
I think I'm done with my rockwork, but at times I feel like it looks bad. The two main pieces can be separated if I want to put some space in between. I plan on adding a lot of coral.
I attached photos of all 3 sides: left side...
I tried the trick of dividing the tank into thirds and came up with this. I really like the pillar looks.
Since I’m going bare bottom but I love the look of sand, I used Krylon Stone Texture spray paint under the tank to make a fake sand bed
Thoughts?
Howdy Reefers Wanted to share part two of my little aquascape and coral placement design series where I talk about how to add depth to your rockscape! Hopefully someone can find this info helpful in some way when making their scape even though my videos are pretty goofy.
It’s a super easy...
Hi all, I've been running this 20G Nuvo for around 5 months now and I initially designed the aquascape minimalistically. However as I buy more and more corals, I regret not putting more rocks to generate space for corals.
I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve on my...
This is my first reef tank, I had a fowlr years ago and loved it but I was young and inexperienced and broke. I'm finally diving back in and would love some advice on what I have as an aquascape. Any improvements or ideas are welcome ( and I would love to hear if you just like it as well). I...
Sand bed depth seems to be a topic that breeds strong opinions and devoted followers of very different approaches as revealed in the following series of posts, among others.

However, does one approach...
Silly little video I made about thinking of aquascaping from a design perspective. Expanding on it more and different coral placement techniques in my upcoming content but just wanted to share :) I know my stuff is pretty goofy but hopefully it helps in some way!
