Last night added a BTA, he was vibrant and spread out and looked happy. I spot fed him and now this morning the water is cloudy and he has split into 3 pieces. One looks like a white ball of nothing.

So I’ve read dozens of threads on keeping fancy BTA anemones with other basic BTA. Like Colorado not doing well with any BTA, Chicago being ok with rainbow BTA’s, etc… Some making it work. Others not so much.
I just wanted to give my 2cents on this as I did a quick experiment with surprising...
I have had this bubble tip anemone for over 1.5 years, and it has done excellent, showing lots of growth in that time. The last few days, though, it has been struggling, going through inflation and deflation cycles 2-3 times a day. The times that it is inflated, it isn't fully extended, though...
Hello all,
purchased this LTA a couple days ago. First few days were great! Everything looked normal and it attached its foot to my live rock. Today it looks like this. Tank has been established for quite some time and all I have are a few snails and soft corals. My parameters are as follows...
I got a bubble tip anenome today (I know it’s bleached, I couldn’t get a good look at it in the store. any good tips for having to come back besides frequent feedings/good Params) and in a few hours it’s moved to this underhang in my rock, but I’m not sure how to feed it since frozen food floats...
Hello, Everyone! I am a newbie to the saltwater aquarium world (2 years). I have a 40 Gallon tank and everything in it is thriving and doing well---with the exception of my anemones :(. When I bought them, they were beautiful--long tentacles vibrant orange and now they have declined over the...

My Rainbow BTA I ordered off of eBay has been in my tank for 4 days now. I fed it a rice size piece of krill on the second day and a pencil eraser size piece of raw shrimp today. I fed it because half of the nem is puffyish and the other half is retracted. The tips of the tentacles have been...
long story short. I was gifted this beautiful BTA when my tank was only a month old (his name is Rubble.) It somehow managed to survive every cycle crash, salinity swings, nitrates sky high, being hand fed HUGE pieces of Krill shrimp 3x a day… The works.
We are about 5 months into our journey...
Hey everyone, I have this big green haddoni that is shriveled up underneath her rock. Have had her about 3 months without issues. Recently I started noticing cyano in a small spot right near her but only in the mornings. just tested my water and nothing jumps out at me as wrong. I did feed her a...
My friend got a new carpet anemone yesterday and today he found it like this. The lfs had said they got the anemone in that day and when we acclimated it to the tank we did feed it a piece of silver side. Does he need to remove it before it nukes everything? Will it pull through?
I have a 55 gal tank that has been running for close to two years. My LTA was added maybe about a month and a half ago. He was eating very well and hosting one of my Domino Damsels. Suddenly he curled up and started excreting a lot of waste. He would open up for small intervals of time randomly...
