I just learned that neomycin sulfate is extremely hygroscopic so is it better to order a replacement or is this still usable?
(Almost broke my finger and the measure spoon just trying to dose some)

I have just finished 15 days of Flux RX for GHA and my clown has this white speckled area on the top - one side only - of his body. My guess is a bacterial or fungus infection. I haven't added anything to my tank since April and those were frags. I have Kanaplex and Melafix. What...

You can do a 90 minute dip using Rally Pro in saltwater. Use 1 teaspoon to 1 gallon of water. It does not look like brooklynella normally does but the Rally will treat many things. Jay may have a better suggestion.

Jay, I am still struggling with both fish. It seemed yesterday the clown was starting to have a bit of buoyancy again so I went ahead and added a dose of Prazipro to the DT. The royal gramma has finished his treatment of Kanaplex in the hospital tank. He is still not eating much if at all. I...
Jay,
I misspoke. I did 3 day Prazipro in the DT. The Vanderbilt Chromis got cupramine only in quarantine. No spots on the Royal Gramma, looks fine, no heavy breathing. The Vanderbilt Chromis has not had any further stringy poop that I know of. They get fed a mixture of hatchery pellets...
...eating not at all or very little. I treated the DT with Cupramine for 3 days a couple of weeks ago after adding a new Vanderbilt Chromis which had stringy poo after being in quarantine. Tank parameters, other fish and corals are fine. He looks and acts normal. Should I be concerned? #Jay...
...fish -- not inverts) in 5 ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide/1L of saltwater. In short: anecdotally, this type of prophylaxis has produced good results; #Jay Hemdal's own trials are on going. In any case, you should be aware of the risks (and limitations) of proceeding with this process before doing...
...reviews. :p Seriously, Amazon and the seller really do need to clearly indicate the intended use of these things.
I couldn't find the source of my problems until Jay Hemdal told me that -- ahem -- I had probably bought, and used, a beerfractometer. Apparently there are even some for blood!
Maybe, unless it's frozen first, although the risk seems to be low. #Jay Hemdal wrote that there's a relative of ich that parasitizes coldwater fish, and I'd be at least somewhat concerned about introducing pathogens into my tanks which are difficult to treat. And this parasite is apparently...
