zoa-eating Starfish?

Pulled an Asterina looking starfish, about 2mm accross, very hard skin. Only instead of brown it is gray with blackish tips. It was literally huggung a closed polyp there is also a trail of unhealthy looking polyps around it

any ideas? anyone seen them before? is it cleaning up sick polyps or munching on them?

Most of the time they are harmless algea eaters but I have hear some will eat zoas.... I have a few and always pic them out when I see them....

I pulled a serpant yesterday, because I don't want my seahorse eating him, i's unbelievable what seahorses will eat.
