my watchman goby has a hole on his side thats been getting bigger and deeper into its body im pretty sure its done for cause i dont really have any medication or quarantine tank set up but just want to know if anyone knows what it has? its still eating but it looks like its getting worse, im only relying on it healing itself. i saw my cleaner shrimp picking at that spot a few days ago when it wasnt that bad on the spot but now its getting worse and the goby doesnt let the shrimp near him anymore.

I would suggest to wait for a medic. As far as I know, freshwater dip gives some relief against ich,I don't think it does anything else of benefit (medic please correct me if I'm wrong). On the other hand, freshwater dip is very stressful to the fish and can kill a weak fish. Better to wait for better advice. #fishmedic

This is bacterial and may have stemmed from injury or puncture wound from urchin and even a bitemark
but will require immediate treatment in a separate tank using seachem Neoplex and added aeration with a focus on water quality. What other fish are in the tank with it and how do they look?

i have 2 regular clownfish with no issues, no urchin, a few hermits a cleaner shrimp, 2 emeralds 1 arrow crab, some big bristleworms in the stones that seem to live in the same hole as the goby. and corals. and that seachem Neoplex you recommended is pretty much unavailable in Sweden where i live, cant find any place that sells it and amazon doesnt ship here.

and also i dont really have a quarantine tank anyways and im also a person with no drivers license. My workplace where i work a few days a week has esha 2000 in stock and by googling it looks to be against bacterial infections and other things but still, no real quarantine tank, i have a heater and pump but no actual aquarium for quarantine if you dont count in 30L plastic buckets etc.

Both now and in the future, a quarantine tank is a necessity and if the store you work at does not utilize some form of quarantine, its going to be a long road especially if the tanks are a shared system.
You can try Ruby Rally pro, but will take much longer and Myxazin more effective

People have tried it with mixed results with severe Ich. It certainly helps fluke infestations. People also try it for uronema and brooklynella. For any of these issues, though, it is only a temporizing measure. It will not treat the disease. In this case - I agree with the rest of the comments that this looks like an injury with a bacterial infection - and as Vetteguy said, immediate antibiotics are indicated (in a hospital tank)

A circular ulcer like that is typically due to an injury, followed by a bacterial infection. Bacteria tends to grow in round shapes (think petri dish cultures). I agree with the others, a freshwater dip won't help in this case.

Getting true antibiotics in the EU is difficult. What your fish needs is a treatment in a quarantine tank, with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic (other than the tetracyclines). However, these infections can be very aggressive, and this one already has gone down to the muscle tissue. If it reaches the spine or the abdomen, you won't be able to save it.
