Always told they needed high flow!

That varies. Mine under moderate flow and Very happy. Lighting plays a huge role as does phyto and bacteria in their survival

Mostly LPS to start. Don't want to mess with SPS just yet without some experience behind me.
LPS, Zoas, Palys, Mushrooms etc are good. just turn your lights down. Most of our LPS and softy tanks have the LEDs set to:
Blues-50-60%
White 0-5%
all other channels about 10%
on small tanks blue even lower.

Exciting lol what are you stocking with?

I would avoid acro and take advantage of zoas and acans or two, a ricirdea or two and any leathers and candy cane and stop at that for a couple of weeks while you adjust lights/flow/nutrition and placement in tank
Many roads to travel when it comes to a newly cycled tank
