Every morning when the lights come on there is some sort of faded colour
Yesterday it was both the blue tang and trigger fish but on the one side of their face .

today it’s only the blue tang .
shortly after lights come on the colour goes back to normal .

why ?

is this new ? just start happening in blotches ? same or different spots ?
I’ve never noticed it before because I am always gone to work at 5am before lights come on
I’ve been home for the last week waking up with the birds waiting for the lights to come on .

It sounds like a normal nighttime coloring to me - some fish will change color in patches.
Does the patch look raised, fuzzy, or white at all? Any off behavior from the tang?

I do see wha looks like the start of HLLE on the tang, but that wouldn’t cause the color change.
