Hello

for anyone that runs this sumpless ato; does anyone run any mechanical filtration in it? Would it affect the sensor at all?

I use it with just the temp prob, but was considering using some filter floss or pad to make the water a little cleaner. I’m constantly seeing particles floating around.

thanks all!

I'm not familiar with the system you asked about. But I have two 40g aio systems with ato. I run filter socks on both systems and some filter media on the 40g cube with the Tenacor insert.

The water level in the tank really doesn't change much, but the water level in the return pump compartment does. I've put my water level sensor in the tank and every morning hit the feed mode on the return pump. Water flows into the return pump chamber and lowers the level in that tank some. Then the ato kicks in and tops it up.

That works OK. Now I have the ato sensor in the return pump compartment and the ato can run whenever it needs to. This has been working fine for the past couple of weeks.
