I am no expert but it sounds like you need to plan for a huge tank. The largest RedSea tank I believe is the S-1000 with a 210 gallon display. You likely need something bigger to accommodate that fish load.

If you intend to actually add all of those fish.. Perhaps dig a pool in the back yard? Convert the master bedroom into a tank? You have 55 fish on that list, plus all of the shrimp and crabs and such.... I would guess somewhere between 3 and 5 hundred gallons. I would edge toward the 500 side.

I agree with the others. You are looking at a very large tank that is not available from off the shelf manufacturers (red sea, waterbox, etc.). In the hundreds of gallons at least. I would also rethink the humu humu trigger (can be very aggressive) and the horseshoe crab (get very large).

The "experts" you have helping you shouldn't be curious what size tank you need. They should know all this information already.

Would it be more manageable if I were to do this instead?

I don't know if manageable is the correct term. Yes its technically do-able with the correct size tank. What size tank are you and your fish experts comfortable maintaining?

Again, the horseshoe crab is going to get large and I would strongly reconsider this one. I also see you have multiple of the same type of fish. I dont know if you trying to get them to school, but they generally wont do that. Much more likely they will kill each other until there is one left. You will need to strongly consider the stocking order of the tank as well.

These are gonna be the bosses of the tank and realize that Shoulder Tang gets HUGE. So at least a 220-300 would be my muinium.

Is this any better?

I'm still trying to decide if this is a troll post or not. If it is, well played. If not, the size tank you'd need (10x3x3 minimun IMO) isn't made by Redsea; and if it were, you wouldn't want it. You would think that your team of experts would be knowledgeable enough to answer these questions, though. Also, that Cream Angel precludes your proposed Euphyllia garden, unless you want to feed it 5-star meals.

The two guys that are helping with me on this project couldnt come to a conclusion on what tank size would be best given the wishlist so I decided to come on here and ask. One of them was saying 180g would work best and the other was saying 200g+ would be more beneficial and from what I’ve heard on here I’m leaning towards the 200g+ side. Also the only reason I was saying specifically Red Sea is because my LFS is having a major sale on them atm.

Fire them both immediately, would be the best piece of advice I could give you.

This is a tank for experts. Not for someone who has expert friends

Let me ask. Are the expert friends the people at the lfs trying to sell you the most expensive Red Sea tank “on sale”

Plus all the additional stuff needed to make it functional. Plus their services to maintain it

I see so many red flags reading this thread…I’m concerned if it’s serious

Need at least 8 foot tank...will still be very challenging. The Achilles, Naso, Orange Shoulder, and the many smaller fish make this size a necessity imo.
