Wired connection between Apex and and Kessi AP9X, is it possible?

Is there a way to hardwire an AP9X to an Apex? My goal is to simulate the lunar calendar to spawn corals. I know the A160 and A360 have the cable to plug into a VDM module, but the AP9X doesn't have the headphone jack input like the others. I'm currently connected through IOTA, but my Apex connection drops randomly multiple times per day and it keeps screwing up my lights. At the moment I can't hardwire my Apex to my router to avoid this.
