Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience keeping a torch next to a grape cristata with them touching and if they sting each other or not. My understanding is that they’re very similar, but I’m not sure if they would be okay touching.

Thanks.

I don't have an answer but this is the first time I've looked into cristata, there's some really pretty ones! Would love some pictures you have one already!

Ive had no issues keeping most euphillia next to each other...except torches. Those always end up stinging whatever is around them.

Yeah, I keep my hammers and frogspawn away from my torch. But I’m wondering about keeping grape cristata next to my torch since it’s similar to a torch.

So as I understand it. Frogs and Hammers good to hang out. Torches are fine only with torches, except if it’s a Cristata then those need their own space.

Ok, so no go on torches and cristatas touching each other? Where did you read/hear this? Because I can’t find anything anywhere. My understanding is that cristatas are basically a short tentacle torch, but this could be incorrect.

I can’t remember exactly when but I heard that long polyp Indo style are fine with other long polyp torches but it‘s a toss up with shorties like Cristata . And I’ve experienced with my own tank. So better safe than sorry I think

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I think I also heard thin vs thick tentacle torches can’t touch.
