Anyone with knowledge of the structural integrity etc. of tanks that can help out?
I'm currently starting a temporary tank (25 gallon) that the contents of my old one (15 gallon) will be moving to soon.
I'm paranoid after a previous piece of furniture for a tank didn't seem to hold, so I had to check it here as well. This is a fluval cabinet and tank, most likely a quite old setup, that I bought used.
The problem is, that when I look at it from the front it seems as if the top of the stand budges a tiny tiny bit, just enough so that I can introduce a thin piece of paper in between the tank and the stand (and only in the center, around 1 cm in) so that it would seem a little part of the glass is not actually supported?
I think it might matter how the tank is built, so I'm hoping someone can tell me if this is gonna end badly with time, or if it will be no problem at all
And forgive the cloudiness.. I had just added sand when I noticed..
Thanks in advance!
