Will 1/4 inch outside airline to the skimmer make a difference to pH?

I did not have much luck using that method. I grabbed an Ice Cap CO2 scrubber and ran it in line with my skimmer. Made an extremely tiny diff (.1 to .2) started dosing kalk and now I’m above 8.2^ and I was at 7.7 before.

For such a long run I would recommend a three-quarter inch line. You can reduce it as you need to input into your CO2 scrubber. However just like others have stated in this thread it's not or you should not expect a significant difference with this method. I run a 1" line from outside then split it to feed 4 CO2 scrubber chambers and I've noticed only about 0.2 positive difference.
Where I gained the biggest difference was by introducing Kalkwsser as part of my alkalinity dosing.
It accounted for about a 0.5 improvement.
Moreover I can spread out the dosing overnight when my pH would typically drop below 7.8.
Now it does not drop below 8.1 at night and Max out at 8.31 during the day.

Thank you all. Line will be too small and not provide ny noticable help.

System is not set up but trying to get everthing ready for tank delivery in a few weeks.

I will just run the kalk reactor and maybe add a co2 scrubber if needed.
