Hey All,

I thought it would be a cool idea to start a thread for posting wild anemone/ coral pictures taken IN PERSON via snorkeling or diving.

Here is a photo I took snorkeling in Antigua on my honeymoon. I can say finding an anemone in the wild is one of the coolest things I've experienced and something I will not soon forget.

What beautiful specimen. Did you see any anemones hosting clowns?

I would love to see more images.

What type of camera were you using?

No clowns :( a lot of tangs and maybe some wrasse? Most of what I saw I was not familiar with.. (I was also in a surreal state and couldn't believe I was snorkeling and seeing this is person)

The Caribbean Blue tang and this anemone we're unmistakable though.

As for the camera, I was scanning the floor for anemone, for I was on a mission to find one, the whole time rolling my GoPro hero4. (Can I post a video?). Anyways that's the camera used.

^ I see Sexy Shrimp too. Boy that looks like one anemone with an extremely potent sting.

This is from our trip to the exotic west coast of California lol Our beach vacation spot is in the panhandle of Florida so this was an entirely different experience for us. It was amazing to see all the life in the tide pools. We were fortunate enough to have a very low tide on our last day there (San Diego after MACNA).

Ugh, sorry! I though some of these were of anemones. Thats what I get for using tiny thumbnails to upload photos.

I have more anemone pictures on my computer. One anemone is spitting out a crab shell.

It was amazing to see the anemones along the shore that were out of the water. They were completely covered with sand and if you did not know what you were looking for you would never see them.
