Who Has Maroon Clowns And A Carpet Anemone

My BTA's were killing off my corals in half the tank. I would like to give my maroon clowns a new home.

I have read that somewhere that carpets like will eat clowns

The likelihood of them eating a natural symbiant is slim to none. The trouble arises when you mix species that aren't found together naturally. That maroon pair was the last unnatural combo I tried.

I have a bta (no carpet) & pair of clowns, one maroon, one davinci. The maroon is the only one of the pair to host the bta, and that took a month. They're extremely friendly currently.

Bob, if I had a hoddoni that ate my clowns, it would take a significant amount of restraint not to jettison that sucker

It was my fault, not the Haddoni. I knew the risks but pressure from the wife for “the cute red ones” overrode my better judgement.

Not sure what response you're expecting about the Maroon clown and carpet nem. I have 3 types of clowns including Maroon and a carpet nem in a 75 gal tank. I have never seen any interaction between the clowns and the carpet. I had the clowns first and put the carpet in about 5 months ago. It moved to a spot between 2 rocks and has happily stayed there since. At night it will retreat back into the rocks and when lights come on it will open up again.

Try LTA it works for me and the nem stays at the bottom
