Pulled the trigger . Ordered screen last night . I really don’t wanna go thru the worry of my wife coming home to see fish on the floor.Lol. Seriously though , I’ve got a ton of money in that system and a few more bucks to protect inhabitants is worth it ..All wrasses jump. I highly recommend getting a screen lid on there ASAP.
I bought a thinner piece last week and Found it too Flimsy and took it back and got the thicker sheet and double the price but it’s going to be worth it!I have a sheet of thin acrylic over a 40-tall and it gets “steamed-over” and a lot of salt creep but the fish stay inside the tank.
It’s thin and it warps from the heat of an led fixture.
I’ keep a towel handy when I have to take it off to catch the rainfall from the condensation. It does help with evaporation.
Happy Thanksgiving
I had a lawnmower and I havent found it but I also haven't seen it ...I guess I'll never knowHello all,
Curious to see how many rimless tank owners without screen top cover have found fish in floor! Is it worth purchasing a screen cover ?
Not sure on that . I wouldn’t think so . I Have a glass top in my 90 and never had issues with Ph.Any impact to pH having the acrylic cover? I had a lot of condensation with a screen lid that had a 2” solid acrylic border.
That’s so frustrating to loose one of our fish and never find . I was lucky both times when fish jumped out . I was there when they jumped.I had a lawnmower and I havent found it but I also haven't seen it ...I guess I'll never know
