Yesterday my friend gave me a devils hand coral. There was a white mark across the middle where it had been held with an elastic band but other than that no other marks. Today it has a couple of white patches on it and I noticed some amphidods/copepods on the white patch. I have it on the sand near two rocks.

Do I need to take it out of the tank or just keep an eye on it?. I didn’t get the coral until late afternoon and my lights are only on from 9am to 7pm so it can’t be bleached already.

what else is in the tank, any inverts, crabs? Could something be taking bites?
There is one left handed hermit crab, one fire shrimp and a tuxedo urchin. I haven’t seen any of them near the leather. I’ve moved it off the sand onto a piece of rock.
