Hello,

What is this on our kole tangs gill plate? Behavior is normal. Eating, active, but we got as a re-home last week. Thought could be an abrasion or a bacterial or fungal infection. What do you think?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Did this show up suddenly, or did it grow larger over time?

This was yesterday, same time of day.

That is so strange. The bta might have done it, but the pattern in the lesion is throwing me off. Still, if it showed up abruptly, then doesn’t get any worse, you can rule out an infection.
