My wife and I narrowed down our tile selection for the stand. The tile will be placed on the stand in similar fashion to Darrell's stand.

If you've not been to Darrell's house, here are a couple pictures of Darrell's stand:

Just curious about everyone's opinions.

Here is my stand in which I assisted Darrell....

I'm partial to the black tiles. However, it would help to know the color of the wall in the background and any other surrounding furniture

I would say either your favorite or the next one. I would sit them up next the the side of the stand and see what it looks like and make sure it doesn't clash.

If you're going with black sand I'd go with the blacker tile. If white sand I'd go with the more brown color. I believe the tile should blend with the sand, not contrast. Also, the color of the stain for the stand would influence the decision if it were me but I'm too lazy to look on the other thread to refresh my memory as to what you decided on LOL.

Depends on wall color but the top or bottom due to the lighter pieces, would stand out more against the black stand, also depends on wall color.

Wife is still deciding if I'm going to paint the wall behind the stand.

Currently is a generic beige color.

Thanks, not faulting you just pointing out the fact that I take the path of least resistance, kinda like electrons and water. Either tile you've chosen should complement your stand's color scheme nicely!

FWIW, when we did the backsplash in our kitchen, I chose the square tiles as it made it MUCH easier by not having to cut any. with the glass tiles you will have to cut them.
