Which brand of reef crystals is best?

Hey all! I recently set up a 10 gallon saltwater aquarium in addition to my 60 gallon fish & live rock only aquarium. The 10 gallon is still cycling. I started the 10 gallon with instant ocean. I'd like to make it a reef aquarium with a few corals and fish. Which crystals would be best to use? And can I still take some of the water out of the 10 gallon, and mix up some reef crystals & RO water and add that in? Thank you for all of your time!

Either will be fine. I prefer Reef Crystals due to the calcium and alk levels. If you want to switch just start using the new salt with water changes. I wouldn't purposely drain any to change over.

A 10g aquarium wouldn't matter, even if you turn it into a "reef" tank someday. Use which is on sale.
