Fish was likely irritated either with parasite or gill flukes but once copper added, things stabilized. For copper, treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.View attachment 3132863

I honestly don't know where I'm at copper wise right now, It was at 2.46. I did a 50% water change Sunday evening after removing the gold rim and I am out of reagent.Fish was likely irritated either with parasite or gill flukes but once copper added, things stabilized. How are/were you measuring copper?I honestly don't know where I'm at copper wise right now, It was at 2.46. I did a 50% water change Sunday evening after removing the gold rim and I am out of reagent.
I am not a big fan of medicating unless there is a problem. Have done it this way for many years without ill effects.
Hanna checkerHow are/were you measuring copper?
I too am not a fan of medicating until warranted. If left untreated however leads to bigger and larger issues
Option is hyposalinity in separate tank
