I cut back on the girlfriend . . . . LOL

In seriousness, I just become content with existing tank and await opportunity for more.
IN THIS HOBBY, SOMETIMES WE NEED TO TAKE THE TIME TO ENJOY OUR TANKS AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THE NEXT ADDITION.

Diy seafood mix just becomes cheaper items. I actually haven’t had to cut back but I am cheap so I buy the lowest cost items. I also buy cheaper lights and cheaper wave makers. No automation other than ato and inkbird temp sensor.

Yes, good point. It is actually stressful when I add corals or fish to my system. So many things can go wrong. After QT, it takes me a couple months before I feel that they are going to be ok. :0) I do enjoy just having a stable system to watch. Fewer concerns!

Other people have said to cut back on stocking, reduce ICP testing, or time between refreshes of equipment. I take the time to go through my old equipment and sell off useful items I dont need anymore. Corals I dont enjoy or regret buying get sold or traded which I am out of those now. I cut back on monthly deep cleaning supplies like citric acid dips and just do a regular deep clean.

II frag my corals if they overgrow, I try to refocus on what I can do now to better the health of my corals.
