Hello,

I have a 180 gallon tank (red sea peninsula 700), 5 feet long with the following current population:
- 2 clownfish
- 5 Lyretail Anthias
- 1 Purple tang
- 1 Lieutenant tang
- 1 Midas blenny
- 1 Canary wrasse
- 1 Yellowfin flasher wrasse

The tank is 5 months old and will be a mixed (SPS + LPS, no softies) reef tank.
I'm struggling to see what fish would be interesting to add to that config. I know i'll probably add a wrass or two down the road. I would love a goby but my sand is coarse (2-4 mm) so probably not suited for a sand sifting goby.

If it was your tank, what would you add to that list ?

I have the same tank but standard and man I love it! Here’s my whole stocking list - all the wrasses are highlighted.

Is there any way you can reduce how coarse the sand is then you won’t be so restricted with fish.

i cant think

dang that is a lot of wrasses :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Not really for the sand, I chose this one so it doesn't go everywhere all the time.
You’ll restrict yourself on the wrasse and goby side then as many are too delicate for very coarse sand.

If it helps I have very fine sand mixed into a slightly coarse sand (although my sand is mainly fine with coarser sand mixed in). Mine also doesn’t seem to fly everywhere even in high flow.
