I was just wondering what is a good test kit for Alk and Cal. Or what is everyone using to test their water parameter?

Salifert here too. Seems okay but would like to test against the Elos. Do they have a good mag test?

I have used salifert, API and Elos and now only use API for alk,ca,mag,NO3 because I was getting the same reading and figured why in the hell spend all the extra $.

They are a bit more, but you can get refills for the reagents making it cost effective. Also, they're the most accurate I've used (Salifert, ELOS, A.P.I., Red Sea), but my second choice is ELOS ;)

Jose, have you used ELOS Mag since they changed it up? I still have the old one and love it, but know the new one is different and more of a PITA to use.

FOr Alk and Ca API are the best bang for the money!! Those #s do not need to be chased and have a wide range of being okay, not like PO4, trites and trates.
