what kind of algae is this

See attached picture i was sent this algae as chaeto was suppose to be pod filled which it is i can see them in the bag tons of them but The more i look up chaeto the more i think this is GHA ?

Looks like cheato with a little GHA thrown in. Open the bag and put in some tank water and see. That's funny they charged $4.49 extra for pods. Wonder if you didn't buy them how they keep them out of the cheato.

There are about 50 described species of chaeto, so not all chaeto look the same. In addition, they change in appearance based on water chemistry and lighting. I also would say you should see what it looks under water because the picture of it inside the plastic bag isn't too helpful.

I don't think this is GHA (derbesia). Color and texture aren't quite right. There are versions of chaeto that are thinner kind of like this, but also this could be enteromorpha which is in the ulva family.
Uncommon pod-filled macroalgae - cool gift!

looking at it closely it may be some kind of thaeto, but the one I have is thick and has a texture like the cord you use for fishing.
