it actually came white, with green polyps on it, the camera doesn't capture it very well but the polyps are still fluorescent which means it is still alive right? also exactly a weekIt looks like it is dead. Sorry. How long have you had it?
the polyps still are fluorescent do you think it has a chance??That looks like more skeleton than coral...
The brown algae is likely just calling this dead acro its home.
No.the polyps still are fluorescent do you think it has a chance??
they dont do any returns, I bought it like this thinking it looked so cool and they probably sold it to me half dead, I would not be surprised. thank you tons for helpingNo.
The coral likely RTN'd on the way to you, leaving nothing but polyps remaining. Since those polyps are disconnected (the skin is gone now -- no way to transport nutrients), they will starve.
I would talk to the seller. There is virtually nothing left of this acro, hate to say.
Sure, if your tank is good enough for acros that birdsnest looks like it's just acclimating to your tank. IT took a hard landing when you got it but if the tank has good parameters for sps it can bounce back and grow. It does look really rough. Did you dip it?the polyps still are fluorescent do you think it has a chance??

I do not have any Dinos that's why I was so confused but she may just be dead unfortunatelyYou dont happen to have dinoflagellates do you? In my experience, birdsnest are always the first to go, which is why I don't keep any in my tank. Too risky.
thanks so much for helping ! I may leave itUpon expanding the photo after reading @hunterallen40 strong reply I think the coral is probably dead, but leave it in you might get lucky but Hunter has better eyes than I do, sorry!
