Picture kind of sucks but you can see this web like mucus coming off my sunset montipora. Cant tell in pic but it was like 8" long. I had just fed reef roids while pumps were off and left em off for about half an hour and came back to this. Then i turned the pumps back on and this blew the web like mucus all over the tank. My hammer has some red slime stuff that seem to be chunky and it also blew off and all over the tank.

So is this normal? Was the coral trying to catch food? Was it irritated and blowing this reef roids away from the coral? Did i hurt it by turning the pumps back and blowing the slime off them? Not sure what was going on here as this is maybe the 5th time i have fed them and never saw this. I did leave the pumps off longer i usually only do about 10 minutes. Might have something to do with it. Any help would be appreciated
