Newish to corals. I bought a wall hammer coral. My other wall hammer corals are “clean” with no discoloration or anything on wall. This one has these small brownish “buttons” on it. Anyone know what this is?

Are they soft or hard? Probably sponges if soft.
Fwiw, the skeleton is showing quite a bit and it looks like there has been significant tissue recession... I don't have high hopes for this coral to survive.
