Can anyone give me some info on what these tentacle looking things are on my hammer coral? Is it part of the coral?

The coral itself hasn't really grown over the last few months. Looks about the same size as the day I bought it. Don't know if it's sick or if these unknown tentacles are affecting it.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, aptaisia.

Your best bet is to do treatment out of tank. Those buggers spread like wild fire on in tank treatments unless you really know what your doing.

My best trick is using lemon juice. Pour some juice in a shot glass and suck it up with a syringe. Hold the aptaisia you want to kill up-side-down. (it keeps the juice off the coral) squirt the juice on its foot. It may take a couple times, you don't need much. Eventually the foot let's go. Once done rinse in tank water in a cup. (throw that water out) place back in tank.
