What kind of algae is this and what will eat it to keep it under control? It’s almost translucent looking, comes off fairly easy. Looks like when you were a kid and blew dandelions.

Usually white mucus like stuff on rocks are identified as bacterial blooms. However that picture is not the best and no tank parameters and history it is hard to say exactly what it is.

Thanks for the link. Basically nobody knows what it is. Hopefully it will go away on its own like it did for some others.
