hi? everyone~

very sad that there is a problem with my fish tank.

Recently, the hermit crabs I was raising died one after another.

The hermit crab I raised was called “Pagurus minutus Hess”

Personally, I suspect that the death of hermit crabs is due to the hardness of sea water.

The hardness of the seawater in the saltwater fish tank has not been tested.

What happens to sea hermit crabs when water hardness is high?

What is the appropriate hardness level for sea hermit crabs?

I’ve kept striped, blue leg, red leg, and zebra between 8dkh and 13dkh. In my experience the ones named do better in harder water. Sure they were getting enough food? If they were I would look at other perameters. Copper, iodine, nitrate, etc.

Thanks for your reply. Let's check other situations as well. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
