I bought a small cleanup crew. To be honest not sure what exactly it came with. I know I have hermits, and Nassarius snails. What algaevores/cuc do you already have?
Never looked into the urchins I will have to research that. Thanks!Get a diverse cleaner crew of various snails, hermits and 2 tuxedo urchins.
You need some trochus snails and one good turbo snails tooI bought a small cleanup crew. To be honest not sure what exactly it came with. I know I have hermits, and Nassarius snails.
Will look into getting some. You need some trochus snails and one good turbo snails too
Hermits are hit and miss depending on how much extra fish food there is, and nassarius don't eat algae. I'd recommend ceriths, trochus, and nerite snails. Mexican turbos are also great but they are larger and might not be the best for a smaller tank (but certainly worth picking one up if you find it locally). Urchins can displace your frags if they are not glued down.I bought a small cleanup crew. To be honest not sure what exactly it came with. I know I have hermits, and Nassarius snails.
Also, how old is your tank, and what fish do you have?I have a 29 gallon biocube. Trying to find something I could add to help control the algae growing on the rocks. Picture attached shows the algae I am having trouble with.

After seeing what the Mexican turbos did to my dad's corals in his biocube I want to stay away from them. I've glued all my corals so would the urchin be ok? I think I would like the look of the urchin in the tank.Hermits are hit and miss depending on how much extra fish food there is, and nassarius don't eat algae. Also good but usually found as hitchhikers are limpets, chiton, and stomatella snails.
Yeah, Mexican turbos are bulldozers (but effective!)After seeing what the Mexican turbos did to my dad's corals in his biocube I want to stay away from them. I've glued all my corals so would the urchin be ok? I think I would like the look of the urchin in the tank.
