What fish, other than clowns, are able to handle not being eaten by bubbletips? At work we have a whole 20gal being taken up purely by bubbletips of different kinds and sizes and im too hesitant to use it now to house anything other than clowns.

So are there any other groups of fish that are relatively safe? I know any fish, even a clown, CAN be eaten by one, but you know what I mean.

Most healthy fish won’t be eaten by a bubbletip anemone. Avoid perching fish like clown gobies, but really just about anything should be fine. If there isn’t much swimming room, domino damsels would probably be fine (but they are aggressive).

Agree with above. If a BTA gets a fish, it was already dying.

BTAs aren't predatory and aren't super sticky like maxi-minis. I would imagine any fish would be fine in a BTA tank. As long as they have enough room to swim without touching the mend and getting stung.

I can't see a BTA grabbing anything but a dead fish or one that was almost there. Maybe those tiny eviota gobies or a juvenile dragonet could be eaten, but I think that everything else would be fine.

I dont have up to date pics of it but there is some swimming space, but i am worried about the potential of fish getting continuously stung as well. Its a 20gal cube (40long divided in half) so the nems crowd it fairly easily. We have one 9-10” BTA in there that stings pretty hard

i think they're safe with just about anything, a large duncan is more likely to eat a fish IME, i have a ritteri anemone (which has a much stronger sting) in a community reef and the fish know not to get too close, i wouldnt worry about it too much.

This BTA is 5 years and bothered nobody.
Tangs, damsels, dottyback mandarin, grammas, Anthais, all good. Even the RFA’s snuggle up to it.

If you already know this, why are you considering adding fish?
Its a store so im just wondering if there are any other species we can put in this tank haha. We have limited saltwater tanks so its nice to utilize all of them where possible, but if not possible then I wont. If there are no other fish than damsels and clowns that wont be at risk then ill keep it how it is, but was just curious.
