I have 2 small colonies I recently got that are both paly types. They've gone into full closure for a few weeks now. The only possible irritant I can see is a small build up of what resembles "diatoms" (even though it's likely not diatoms) on the closed polyps. I'm thinking of actually taking a soft toothbrush and seeing if that will help shed the funk. Not sure what else to try at this point. any suggestions?
thanks,
casey

coralnutz,
both colonies were looking great for about a week and then went into remission a few weeks back. They are in a 24NC with stock PCs but is full of zoas and palys that are all doing great except for these 2. I've been doing water 20% water changes at elast once a week. Honestly haven't check parameters except for SG (1.025).
thanks
casey
