What are these white round spots spreading across my live rocks?

My tank is newly cycled. Sat up 2 weeks ago. It looks like the white dots are out competing the green/brown algae. Those rocks were white when I got them and were turning brown initially. What are they? Bacteria? Coralline? Just curious...

This tank is 2 weeks old only. And I have all live rocks from my lfs’s sump. I thought coralline is only white when it’s dying? If they’re coralline I’d be so happy because they’re growing every day

What sort of algae do u think it is? Are the white spots algae-free or a different algae?

Have you seen caulerpa go sexual? It turns white and dies. It looks like that. Regular algae does this in circles. If you look closely you will see that the algae is still there it is just white. After some time something else will take over because the algae is dead.

Interesting. Maybe because I did some water changes and now I don’t have phosphates and has lower nitrate

Could be multiple reasons.
